Who are we?
Yom Chi Martial Arts is a family focussed Tae Kwon Do school operating in beautiful Nelson, British Columbia that welcomes students of all ages and skill levels. To learn a little more about our Dojang and it's values please check out our 'About' tab!
What is TaE Kwon Do?
Tae Kwon Do (also known as Taekwondo) is the art of self defense that originated in Korea. It is recognized as one of the oldest forms of martial arts in the world, dating back over 2,000 years. The name was selected for its appropriate description of the art: Tae (foot), Kwon (hand), Do (art).

Del started his training at just seven years old and instantly we knew he would be a Black Belt one day. He has always been determined and fierce. He mastered his fierce face asa white belt. Shortly after he started his family joined him and they moved through the ranks together. In 2021 they took a three year hiatus and Del and his brother returned to continue what they started. He will be testing for his 1st Dan in December! |
